PAROLE PREPARATION RESOURCES
The Board of Parole Hearings evaluates parole candidates’ participation in “Programming.” Programming is a term of art that means education, self-help, and topic-driven classes. It is necessary for a parole candidate to participate in some type of programming that focuses on teaching about the candidate’s risk factors. Participation can be done through either books, correspondence courses, or institutionally offered group classes. Below are common books and correspondence classes recommended by Parole Commissioners, Myself, as well as several other attorneys and educational organizations.
